Google noticed this aspect and prepared strategy accordance to that. Google announced on April 21, 2015 that they are going to be boosting the effects of the mobile-friendly algorithm.

The new Mobile-Friendly guidelines that launched focus on CSS and JS because Android apps are built in Java, and single-page web apps rely heavily on JavaScript for their fluid, app-like experience.

Based on data set, the average loss of rankings for the non-mobile friendly sites measured was 0.21 positions on average. Many sites experienced a significant drop in mobile rankings while remaining relatively stable (or even growing their visibility) in desktop search, suggesting that the change in visibility was due to the mobile friendly update.
